Lyall, Thresher & Associates traces its beginning to 1977 when Les Lyall, who had held sales management positions with several boiler manufacturers, started a manufacturer’s representative agency. In 1988, Les was joined by Mike Thresher. Mike had been the hydronic heating manager at Mott Brothers Company, a plumbing and heating distributor in Rockford, IL. During 1994 Les retired and Mike hired Paul Stelter. Paul had spent several years in the forced air heating industry working at the contractor level and later for a manufacturer. Paul became a partner in Lyall, Thresher & Associates in 1996. A merger with HS/Buy Van Associates of Auburn Hills, MI in 2002 was finalized to strengthen the overall corporation and better serve our customers.

In addition to Mike and Paul, the Lyall, Thresher staff today consists of Dan Thielmann, Warehouse Manager; Joe Hudec, Inside Sales; Josh Stelter and Joshua Campbell, Outside Sales.

Today our experienced staff not only calls on plumbing and heating distributors, but also supports those distributors and our principals with “pull-through” coverage of plumbing and heating contractors, mechanical contractors and consulting engineers. To support our sales efforts, we offer a variety of training classes for contractors and distributor personnel.

Our warehouse in Elk Grove, IL is stocked with a variety of products to help all of our customers realize their sales goals. Products we stock include gas infrared heaters, indirect water heaters, boilers, air handlers, unit heaters, insulation for radiant heat, hot water baseboard and “kick-space” heaters.
